Nursery Prints

I am always on the look-out for gifts for kids that aren't the usual mass produced toy of the moment.  I regularly scour Pinterest for toys and nursery decor inspiration and see all these amazing artists in the States etching kids names into different materials for wall hangings or painting their favourite toy and wish I could find something unique here too. Alas, now I have!

This weekend at the Craft & Design Fair at UCC's Glucksman Gallery (details below) you can invest in a piece of art for the little people in your life with these super cute prints from Irish artist Cyril Desmond.  Cyril produces affordable lifestyle art under the name Milis Print Work. This collection has been inspired by his own three young children, consisting of prints of pen and ink drawings of things that children and adults love like teddy bears, vehicles, vintage toys, instruments and dogs, making it ideally suited to family spaces and children’s rooms. The work can be customised by size and background colour making it compatible with any décor. It also makes a unique personal gift for any special occasion.

The artist himself told me that “Prints make great gifts and are an affordable way to have original art in the home.  We provide prints in 7x7, 8x10, 11x14” photo sizes to make them compatible with regular frames available in most department stores and photo shops.  This is a real family effort, my wife Suzie helps with the final stages and of course the three amigo’s help with the inspiration.”

You can browse and order Cyril's fantastic work here. Or add Milis Print Work on Facebook and buy through paypal here. Frames are for display purposes only. These are the sweetest prints to bring any playroom or nursery up to date!
