I am just back from a trip to the Vogue Fashion Festival in London. I flew over with Viv and Katriona and met 'Across The Pond' blogger Jenn Foley at The Roof Gardens for brunch before heading to the talks. The Vogue talks were great to attend, especially for us as we work so heavily in the fashion industry with our own Fashion Week and Model Agency. Listening to other strong and driven Women in Business gave us lots of food for thought and inspiration. The venue foyer in Kensington was a hive of fashion fun with speed styling workshops, nail bars, makeup demos and lush Harrods champers. I wore this full length vintage skirt from Miss Daisy Blue. I loved people and style watching and took some street style snaps while meeting up with some great UK fellow bloggers. I came home to find out tonight that I have been nominated in 4 categories of the Irish Beauty Blog Awards:
People often ask me if I think pageants are degrading to women in this day and age and I think it just shows how little experience people have of the great opportunities that arise for winners at these events, especially the pageant I am involved in before they cast judgement. Viv & I run Miss Universe Cork each year where up to 30 girls enter and undergo self development, fitness, nutrition, modeling and public speaking training ahead of the final. We train the girls to stand on a stage and public speak to almost 500 people and the winner walks away with a host of amazing prizes for the year, a modeling contract to work with our Agency ( paid work!) and the big prize is to come to Dublin with us to represent our city at Miss Universe Ireland. I love presenting the show, the room is always electric and we gain a new recruit each year. I only wish there was something this cool with so many opportunities for me when I was that age!

I styled a shoot today at Kopper Hair with an amazing team. The images will be released in a few months as part of an exciting new project Sabrina and her team are working on for the salon and I can't wait to share them with you. I just love working with other creative people who aren't afraid to push the boat out. Behind-the-scenes today, I took these pictures of some vintage looks separate to the shoot styling. I hope you like them. Details on the links at the end xo
One of my favourite things to do at the Agency is teach Model Camps and Deportment and Styling Seminars. This week as the kids were on Easter holidays from school, I was asked to do two days at The Salon Shop's Teen Beauty Camp. I taught workshops on Social Media & Teens, Confidence and Self Development, Deportment and Modelling and Styling. Today was the last day and the girls put what they had learned into practice and styled themselves in two separate looks with hair and makeup done and we did a shoot with each girl as well as a mini fashion show at the end for their families and friends. It was such a fun camp to be invited to present at. They learned hair styling tips from my sister Aisling Kelleher, fitness and nutrition from Irene Twohig at Educo Gym, nails and brows from Deborah Long and Makeup with Ciara Wilson. When Erin is older I will definitely send her on one of these camps for her personal development. Looking forward to the June Teen Beauty Camp already! xo
Spring is here and while we transition to a new wardrobe I find myself reverting to the safe option of stripes to brighten up my wardrobe. This silver leaf neckpiece is from Parfois and the Tshirt is from Penneys. Here is a little stripes inspo below to transition you into Spring. Happy Easter xo
