New Year in Dublin

We took a mini family break after a challenging end to 2015 and it turned out to be the perfect way to switch off, recharge, ring in 2016 and enjoy each other. The New Years Festival was on in Dublin and although it was torrential for the trip, we wrapped up and made the most of each other and got out as much as possible. I enrolled my husband in a world record attempt for the Biggest Bodhran Session for the Guinness Book of Records at Stephens Green so we trotted over to that, Bodhran in hand and it was really magical to be part of something where all ages and backgrounds came together for music. It was just pure fun and happiness all-round.  The excitement got the better of Erin and she fell asleep in Timmy's arms right at the start of the World record!  Finding things to do with a small toddler can be hard, when we are used to a life of restaurants, pubs and clubs before she came into our lives, so finding this festival was the perfect little memory to share with Erin and mark our 3rd Wedding Anniversary too. We met up with our friend Sarah and her two boys Luke & Liam for tapas and a NYE cocktail at 37 Dawson Street and lucked in with the window table so our kiddies didn't bother any punters. We cherish these times with Erin, even when she is crazy teething! We are at our happiest when it's just our little family hanging out together, it doesn't matter where we are - once we're together! Wishing you all a happy, healthy 2016, full of opportunities and dreams becoming a reality xo

My coat is made from the warmest alpaca wool, an oldie but a goodie from Bastyan and how cute are Erin's new boots from Next kidswear, you can buy them here. ! Timmy's jacket is All Saints at Kildare Village
